Berlin, Germany/Atlanta, GA (October 23, 2015): The International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) today named Jonathan Jaeger the recipient of the inaugural Lori Raleigh Award for Emerging Excellence in Hospitality Consulting. The award was presented at the ISHC Annual Conference held in Berlin, Germany.

“Having completed more than 1,000 consulting and valuation assignments on behalf of a wide variety of clients across North America and the Caribbean in just the early years of his career is truly impressive, making Jonathan the ideal recipient of the inaugural Lori Raleigh Award,” said Award Committee Chair Kristie Dickinson, senior vice president, CHMWarnick. “However, this award is about much more than the projects he’s completed. Jonathan has demonstrated accomplishments and a career progression earned only by a strong work ethic and dedication to the industry, other young professionals and the clients he advises. He gives back tirelessly to the industry, mentoring new associates in his firm, teaching college students and speaking before some of the most prestigious groups in hospitality. His desire and ability to lead in all aspects of hospitality is truly impressive, and we are confident that Jonathan will remain a growing, important presence in the industry as his career progresses.”

Jaeger is managing director at LW Hospitality Advisors, a provider of advisory, valuation, feasibility, investment counseling, asset management, property management and transactional services focused exclusively on hotels, resorts, gaming properties and conference center assets worldwide.  In his current role, he is responsible for the execution and management of all consulting and advisory assignments preformed out of the company’s New York office.  Previously, he was vice president with Pinnacle Advisory Group and earned his operational stripes holding positions in finance and accounting at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Kimpton Hotels & Resorts. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance from the Boston University School of Hospitality Administration and his MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute. A regular speaker, Jaeger is an adjunct professor for New York University’s Lodging Development program and an active member of the Young Hospitality Investment Professionals Group, the Metro NY Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and the NYC & Company Hotel Committee.

“It is an honor to receive the very first Lori Raleigh Award for Emerging Excellence, all the more so because Lori Raleigh at one time was my mentor, making this recognition very gratifying and meaningful to me personally,” Jaeger noted.  “I can only hope to achieve the same level of success and industry respect as her, and it is my goal to have a similar impact on my peers and others entering the hospitality industry.”

As part of the award, Jaeger also will receive a one-year Associate Membership in the ISHC, affording  networking opportunities with the industry’s top consultants and educational value that few experience unless granted membership into this invitation-only group of global hospitality professionals.

“I look forward to networking with this esteemed group of professionals throughout the upcoming year and aspire to join them as a member one day,” Jaeger said.

The award is named in honor of Lori Raleigh, founder of The Travers Group, who served as the Executive Director of the ISHC from 2000 to 2013. The long-time advocate for continuing education in the hospitality consulting field is the co-author of Hotel Investments: Issues & Perspectives, currently in its fifth edition, and co-editor and contributing author of ‘Hotel Asset Management: Principles and Practices,’ currently in its third edition, two of the industry’s most important texts. She is a major proponent of supporting emerging talent and is perhaps best known for her collaborative, creative and enthusiastic leadership legacy, making a positive impact on the hospitality industry.
