Bio

Michael Kollin’s 30+ years of architectural and project management experience is highlighted by a historied career in hospitality design. Having been involved in the completion of over 500 hospitality, leisure, and mixed-use projects worldwide, he is well versed in hotels, resorts, and related project operations and the things that motivate both owners and end users. With a passion for client service, Michael creates a top-shelf experience for every client. As prolific as he is passionate about design and architecture, Michael is laser focused on leadership and enriching team members.

The former founder, president & CEO of Kollin Altomare Architects, Michael was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Architecture. Licensed in 33 states and territories, Michael is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Michael became a member of ISHC in 2021. His recent major projects include:

In his spare time, Michael enjoys golfing, taking in Formula 1 and Indy car races, and supporting local animal rescue organizations. In January 2025, Kollin Altomare formed a strategic partnership with Michael Graves Architecture, an award-winning global leader in planning, architecture, and interior design based in Princeton, New Jersey. This transformative merger combines the distinct strengths of the two firms to cultivate shared expertise, experience, and resources of more than 170 personnel in 10 offices, offering next-level capabilities and services.
