Bio

Prior to starting ELECTRO-MEDIA DESIGN, Ltd, Jeff was a Manager of Audio/Video Systems Design for Marriott Corporation’s Architecture and Construction Division. Jeff completed over 250 worldwide projects including five-star resorts, convention/conference centers, corporate and educational facilities, and senior living communities. He authored and continuously updates Marriott’s Master Design Standards and supplemental audiovisual and acoustical “best practices” books used to guide the efforts of architects and developers for all Marriott lodging products. His unique perspective led him to conceptually develop many new products and design approaches, frequently converging technology elements from various systems to enhance functionality, reduce system complexity and cost, and improve reliability.

Jeff’s contribution to the hospitality industry is acknowledged in many trade publications; in 2003 he was inducted into the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) in recognition of his accomplishments. Jeff received his BGS degree in Audio Technology and Computers for Business from American University in 1985. He teaches profusely including workshops for industry trade associations including the International Communication Industries Association where he is an Adjunct Instructor. Jeff is a contributing author in ICIA’s published book on “Best Practices” regarding the process of developing quality audiovisual systems. He serves as the Technology Partner to the International Association of Conference Centers and teaches various workshops for that organization. Recognizing his contribution to the industry, IACC presented Jeff with The Award for Excellence in Education, The Pyramid Award, and Mel Hosansky Award for Distinguished Service.

Services provided include feasibility studies, needs analysis, master planning, design, procurement services, project and program management, commissioning, troubleshooting, brand standards and design guide development and compliance, peer review, and expert witness.
