Ted J. Torres, CHA, ISHC, is a Managing Director of Crede Development Advisors. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a first-generation corporate hotelier, Ted has literally been in the hotel business his entire life. His responsibilities and specialty with Crede are Development Advisory for a variety of clients and joint venture partners assisting them to create value through developing visions into concrete plans and full concept development for their current asset portfolios. A lifelong hotelier, Mr. Torres has built, owned, operated, renovated, repositioned and consulted on numerous hospitality projects in his 35+ years of professional experience.

He has been responsible for the development of over 9,000 hotels rooms both Domestically and Internationally for all major hotel franchise companies. Currently, in his capacity as Managing Director he is responsible for the strategic acquisition and development of new hotel and multifamily development advisory opportunities in the United States. Working with key executives at the most recognizable brand names in the hospitality industry, as well as best in class third party hotel operational management companies, on behalf of our clients the company is currently redeveloping multiple adaptive reuse projects for conversion to unique upscale hospitality assets, development of luxury multifamily beachfront assets in southern California, and developing ground up branded boutique and luxury convention center hotels across the breadth of the United States.

He has consulted domestically and internationally on numerous hospitality projects and possesses excellent relationships with key executives at major hotel franchise companies in the industry, such as: Global Hyatt, Hilton Hotels, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Best Western International, Marriott International, and Wyndham Hotel Group. He also possesses exceptional relationships with C suite executives at the largest and best in class hotel operating company, Aimbridge Interstate Hotels.

He is a Certified Hospitality Administrator, the hotel industry’s highest professional designation, and has served on franchise advisory boards for three Major Hotel Companies. He has served as a speaker and conference advisory board member for the Multi Unit Franchise Conference for over ten years. He is also an advisory board member and speaker for the European Master and Multi unit conference and the International Franchise Association. He has become a member of ISHC, the International Society of Hospitality Consultants.
