Bio

<span>Shaina Kay is the proud founder of SK Design Studio, a hospitality architecture and design firm. SKDS collaborates with developers, designers, and brands on research, design, project coordination, construction documentation, specifications, and procurement. A product of innovation and efficiency, SK Design Studio has the mission to promote empathy and equality in society through design.</span>

Shaina Kay is a distinguished graduate of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Interior Design. She has a continued goal of completing her Master of Architecture. Shaina is a contributing member of The Professional Advisory Board at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design. She is also the recipient of the 2023 Fay Jones School Emerging Alumni Award.

With career beginnings in religious and collegiate design, Shaina now specializes in high-end hospitality design including hotels and resort projects around the world. She celebrates a decade career in hospitality design & development of boutique and major branded hotels such as Marriott International, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Hilton and The Leading Hotels of the World. She is now branching her hospitality roots into the healthcare design sector to innovate the user experience.

Shaina spent time living in Rome studying architecture and design throughout Italy. Being grateful for her many opportunities, she enjoys speaking at schools and colleges to encourage creative careers to underrepresent students. When not designing she is exploring the outdoors with a passion to live off-grid and be fully connected to nature.
