Bio

Hunden is a trusted advisor for transformative real estate projects, providing market and financial feasibility, impact studies, developer selection, financing, owner’s rep and project delivery mechanisms. Mr. Hunden and his firm have worked on more than 800 projects and studies over the past 25+ years, totaling more than $6 billion in developed real estate, with $10 billion more in process. The firm completes approximately 50 assignments per year with its 12-person professional staff, focused primarily on mixed-use districts, sports facilities, convention centers, arenas, entertainment venues, dead malls and performing arts. Hunden’s background in economic, real estate and tourism development combine to make the firm a unique resource for communities looking to develop their destinations and projects in a viable, transformative and sustainable way. Some compelling projects include the Chicago Riverwalk and Navy Pier, Distrito T-Mobile in San Juan, a mega mixed-use destination in the Middle East (in pre-development), and the forthcoming Dallas Convention Center District.

Expertise

Rob Hunden offers broad experience in managing the implementation of public and private transformative real estate projects. As a consultant, he has provided econ development, market/financial feasibility, impact, developer selection, and planning expertise for more than 800 projects and studies throughout the US and abroad. He works with several states on their tourism legislation development and management of programs, taught Destination Development courses at Kendall College from 2004-2010, and is an ongoing instructor for International Economic Development Council's CEcD Real Estate Coursework.
