Ricardo Moreira

Bio

A leading expert in sustainability in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years, Ricardo Moreira is founder and Managing Director of XCO2, an ward-winning MEP and environmental consultancy specialising in low-carbon strategies for the built environment, with offices in London and Singapore.

He is responsible for the company’s overall management and leads some of its key decarbonisation projects around the world, supporting owners, investors and operators in achieving their sustainability ambitions.

With both architectural and engineering backgrounds, he brings a technical focus to discussions, and a design integration approach to deliver robust sustainability solutions. The company is currently involved in hospitality projects in Europe, Americas, Middle East and Asia.

Ricardo holds a Master’s degree from the University College London, has lectured at various UK universities and spoken at numerous hospitality conferences in Europe, Asia, North and South America.
