Gustavo Ripol

Bio

Gustavo Ripol is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Leisure Partners, a company dedicated to providing advisory, planning and development, commercialization, and asset management services to a variety of owners, developers, investors, financial and government entities for Hospitality, Leisure Real Estate, Mixed-use and Master Planned Communities Projects in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Mr. Ripol has over 40 years’ experience in the Travel and Tourism industry serving in executive positions in multiple development companies, financial institutions and key service providers, including Regina Resorts/Raintree Resorts, BBVA/Bancomer, RCI, Quinta Real Hotels, Presidente-Intercontinental Hotels among others.

Mr. Ripol consulting experience dates as back as 1996 when he was responsible for the implementation and day-to-day operations of RCI Consulting Latin America, later heading Regina Resorts’ Consulting and Project Development Division supporting the BBVA’s Asset Recovery department as well as other external clients, and later in 2007 founding Leisure Partners alongside John McCarthy, serving as full-time Managing Director since 2015.

Mr. Ripol is a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) since 2018; is also a member and has also served several years in the Board of the Mexican Association of Resort Developers (AMDETUR), as well as special assignments for the Mexican National Tourism Board (CNET), and guest Professor at Universidad Anáhuac (Campus Sur). He also served in the Board of VIFAC (Vida y Familia) in 2005-2006, and recently in FUCAM (Fundación para el Cancer de Mama) starting in 2026,

Mr. Ripol holds a BS Degree Summa Cum Laude in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Anahuac (Campus Sur) 1985, with post-graduate studies in Finance from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) 1987.
