Bio

Donald Bowman is a leading luxury hotelier with an international career spanning more than 30 years in hospitality. He has his own consulting practice, coaching companies through programs that transform their company culture, provide service training, and elevate their service to world-class levels.
His career has taken him from his home in Scotland to London, Bermuda, San Francisco, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Chicago. He managed some of the world’s leading luxury hotels, including 20 years with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. He is widely recognized for the high level of service at his hotels and, as General Manager, has run many Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond properties.

Donald has always sought ways to give back to the community and the hospitality industry wherever he has lived. In Las Vegas, he serves as the Chair of the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation, which raises funds to provide scholarships to hospitality students in Nevada. He also is the Chair of the Great Chef Run, the signature fundraiser for the NHLF. The fun event is a 5k fun run and walk with all participants dressed as chefs. Over the past four years, the NHLF has granted almost a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships and is fulfilling its mission to fuel the future leaders of the state's largest industry.

Donald lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Ellen, and is an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast. He teaches part-time at The International School of Hospitality in Las Vegas. In 2022, through his commitment to running and the local community, he became an ambassador for lululemon. He is an active member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants.
