Bio

Christopher M. Henry, ISHC, 38, co-founded Majestic Hospitality Group in August 2008. Born with an entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Henry has led Majestic Hospitality on assignments in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Over the years, personal and business experiences have created Mr. Henry’s well-rounded perspective on the tourism industry and his ardent support of a triple bottom-line philosophy. Working within the realms of luxury, boutique, and lifestyle hotels, Christopher has a passion for creating unique destination properties that harness and promote authentic local experiences. He is currently involved with projects in the United States, Japan, Thailand, Belize, Mexico, and Egypt.

Mr. Henry was admitted to the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) in late 2017 as their youngest-ever inductee and joined their board in 2025. In 2021, he was appointed to the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board's board of directors and was elevated to its executive committee in 2023. Mr. Henry is a founding member of the Latino Hotel Association and has served on its board for 11 years. Christopher is also an active member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA). In response to COVID’s impact on travel/tourism and the nationwide social upheaval in 2020, Christopher co-launched a podcast, “NextGen in Lodging,” (now part of Hotel News Now/CoStar) to engage and promote the ideas of up-and-coming hoteliers. Mr. Henry served a five-year term on the advisory board of Belmont High School (LAUSD) and is a three-time distinguished guest lecturer at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School. He has also been awarded two Certificates of Recognition from the Mayor of Los Angeles. On a personal level, as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Christopher also frequently advocates for workplace diversity and inclusion.

His passion for the travel and tourism industry started at an early age. At only three days old, Christopher took his first flight from Dallas, Texas, with his family home to Los Angeles. Growing up in West Los Angeles in a Mexican-American household gave him unique opportunities to experience the wonders and beauty of multiculturalism. This sparked his fascination with other ways of life, leading him to travel the world. To date, Mr. Henry has visited 65 countries and territories spread across five continents. As an avid backpacker and adventure traveler, Christopher has participated in several SCUBA diving expeditions and trekked across Central America and the Middle East. He spends up to 60% of the year traveling for both work and pleasure.

Before launching Majestic Hospitality Group, Mr. Henry worked for Prince Hotels & Resorts on the Big Island of Hawai’i at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and the world-famous Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. He has also previously worked for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Vista del Sol Health Services, and TS Architects. Christopher studied at the California School of Culinary Arts, American University in London - Richmond Hill, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Hotel and Lodging Management with a minor in Eco-Tourism at Johnson & Wales University.
