Bio

Adam Lara is a principal and shareholder at KTGY, a leading national architecture and design firm with offices in California, Colorado, Texas, Illinois and Washington D.C. Based in the Chicago Interior Design and Branding Studio, Adam sees the sum of the parts as a whole and is motivated by how the parts and pieces come together. Organized, strategic, detail-oriented and extremely hands on, Adam truly immerses himself into the entire design process, understanding and adapting to the needs of every project. Through cultural and environmental research, he continuously finds new ways to merge craft with technology.

Early on, he honed his craft at a variety of highly regarded architecture and design firms in Chicago including Darcy Bonner and Associates, Jordan Mozer and Associates, RTKL. Adam also served as a design manager for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where he managed all phases of design and construction of new builds and renovations for the company’s 140 full service domestic hotels and resorts. With years of experience in hospitality, residential and corporate architecture and design, Adam has developed lifelong relationships within the industry.

A licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional, Adam provides the team high-level guidance on projects and relationships with a positive attitude and a personable approach. As he maintains day-to-day operations, he plays an integral role in continued team development by consistently seeking new talent to add to the pipeline. An invaluable resource and liaison, Adam bridges the gap between designers and clients while expertly leading the allocation of people and resources.
