As a seasoned hotel development and investment strategist with 15+ years of experience across Africa and the Indian Ocean region, I specialize in unlocking value in the hospitality sector through advisory, funding, and strategic execution. I am the Founder & Managing Partner of Ankara & Lustar, a bespoke pan-African hotel development and commercial real estate advisory firm dedicated to delivering sustainable, efficient, and investor-centric solutions that bridge funding gaps and accelerate growth in the African hospitality landscape.

My expertise spans hotel development advisory, market and financial feasibility, capital raising (both equity and debt), repositioning, rebranding, acquisitions and disposals, and financial advisory for both greenfield and brownfield projects. I’ve led successful collaborations with international and regional hotel brands, investors, government stakeholders, and financiers — delivering capital solutions and strategic direction for complex hospitality and mixed-use developments across multiple markets on the continent.

I’ve had the privilege of working with global brands, advisory firms, and industry platforms, including roles that shaped hotel strategy and investment execution across Sub-Saharan Africa. I’m also proud to contribute to the industry as an advisory board member, mentor, and advocate for sustainable growth and professionalism in hospitality.
