Mission Statement

Founded in 1988, Gettys is an award-winning hospitality design, procurement, branding and development firm headquartered in Chicago, with offices in Bangkok, Beirut, Cairo, Dubai, Hong Kong, Irvine, Jeddah, Miami, and New York. Our unique comprehension of the client perspective means that we are driven to create compelling design that generates visible results – both aesthetically and financially. Gettys’ philosophy is simple: to approach each project from a specific and customized point of view. Working together, we explore sources of inspiration, changing industry trends, the unique history of a site and a ‘feel’ for the project that tells its own exceptional story. Since our inception, Gettys has had the advantage of an expert procurement department which has purchased hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars in furniture, fixtures, equipment and operating supplies; and is ranked among the top 10 hospitality procurement companies in the industry.

Roger G. Hill II is Chairman and CEO of Gettys, a leading hospitality design, procurement, branding and development firm he co-founded in 1988. A respected hospitality industry veteran, his expertise and influence have helped place Gettys among the most recognized and published firms in the hospitality design industry. A vanguard of the philosophy “beautiful design is good business,” a mantra commonly heard in this particular field, Roger has led Gettys through nearly three decades of growth by continually raising the bar in his endeavors as Chief Executive Officer. Specifically, he revolutionized the standard business model for a hospitality design firm by first adding an in-house procurement department at Gettys and later creating an internal property development arm. Today, Gettys is an industry leader, known for not only offering a turn-key development-design-procurement formula to hoteliers, but also for consistently creating hotels that deliver profits.

Mr. Hill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the school of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and currently serves on the Cornell University Class Council.
