Weldon H. Mather is Managing Director of WM Consultancy Ltd and is an experienced and skilled hotel asset manager and hotel general manager. Weldon has thirty years experience within the industry starting in the family hotel business and he has worked on several hotel openings. He also worked with the Radisson and Movenpick Hotel Groups in Switzerland, Forte Hotels (UK) and O’Callaghan Hotels, Dublin. Weldon trained at the Shannon College of Hotel Management and worked in Switzerland, the USA, the UK and Australia. He has an MBA, MSc, BA and is certified in Advanced Hotel Real Estate & Asset Management from Cornell University. He is involved in advocacy for the industry and has a wide range of industry, private equity & investment contacts. Weldon is currently working with banks, receivers/administrators, liquidators and private clients in tourism & accommodation businesses in the UK & Ireland. He also consults extensively to Fáilte Ireland (National Tourism Authority) as a business mentor. Weldon is an expert hotel witness in legal arbitration proceedings.
